The jury evaluates the initiatives and objectively selects the outstanding and excellent initiative that deserves the recognition of VBHC Prize winner. Besides the VBHC Prize winner, the jury will select three initiatives which will receive the Excellence Awards. The jury will base their selection on measured patient outcomes, cost-effectiveness, and collaboration.

Prof. Robert S. Kaplan, PhD
Marvin Bower Professor of Leadership Development, Emeritus at the Harvard Business School. He joined the HBS faculty in 1984 after spending 16 years on the faculty of the business school at Carnegie-Mellon University, where he served as Dean from 1977 to 1983. Kaplan received a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from M.I.T., and a Ph.D. in Operations Research from Cornell University. He has received honorary doctorates from the Universities of Stuttgart (1994), Lodz (2006), and Waterloo (2008).
Prof. Elizabeth Teisberg, PhD
Full Professor at the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin and executive director of an institute being formed. She is a senior institute associate at Harvard’s Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness, centers her work on high-value care delivery and implementation of value-based strategy in health care by providers, employers, health plans, pharmaceutical and device companies, patient advocacy organizations, and policy makers. Author of the book ‘Redefining Health Care’ (2006) together with Prof. M. Porter.
